Vocht Canon Rule™
More Tantamount Leading, More Ruled Paper
Canon is not the term commonly used around these days. The association to the military use of the cannon and rebellion against the church, canon has become a dried vessel. The American Language Dictionary provides the etymology for canon, from Latin origin, as the measuring line, and the law for which the line is ruled (governed). Translation: the space between lines, and the value of Free Speech to “impel them to the separation” (Declaration of Independence). The Century Update™ adds the canon into the Prescribed Ruling Stationery’s™ design and lexicon verbatim, adding to the sacred freedom of words, which separates Church & State from the penman. As they say in England, “The Pen is mightier than the sword,” a reference to their Feint Ruled Paper.
The Century Update™ brings sizes into force using the equal measurements found in word processors. Just like 12 inches per 1 foot, Pica is the larger of the Point Font system: 12 points equals 1 Pica, and 1 point is equal to the dot or period mark made by the point of a standardized ruling pen. Create line for line handwritten documents with VCR™, and scan into a processor Monday morning, or not.
The Vocht Canon Rue™ (VCR™) is prescribed in common sizes: 8 Points for Music writers to 2 Pica (wide ruled) or may be custom fitted to suit your preference with 23 sizes available using our Custom Order process. We, also, offer the common teacher requested 12 Point Font (called 1 Pica)! There is a VCR™ Free Assessment, at the bottom of this tutorial, to assist in discovering your preferred VCR™ (also available in the Shop).
